New Campaign Announcement: Help Dean Get Back On His Feet
Last year, we discovered Dean's prosthetic leg wasn't working well. It didn't fit properly and was too heavy. But thanks to our incredible community, Dave King is designing and building a new leg for Dean.
The Power Of Community
Late last year, Steve was catching up with Crow, a fellow Black Rock Ranger in Gerlach, NV. When Steve mentioned that Dean needed a new prosthetic leg, Crow said, "I have a friend in Reno who makes them; he's a burner too." Before we knew it, Crow and Dave King were visiting Dean in Nixon, measuring him up for a new prosthetic.
Through several recent meetings with Dean and a lot of work in his workshop, Dave, a seasoned prosthetic professional, has made significant progress toward providing Dean with that new leg. With his wealth of experience spanning over 25 years in the field, Dave generously offered his expertise to create a custom prosthetic leg tailored to Dean's needs. This campaign will help support this effort to get Dean back on his feet!

While the actual value of this work is between $10k and $20k, Dave is generously donating his time and expertise to help Dean. This fundraising campaign will focus on covering the initial cost of materials needed for Dean's prosthetic leg, including specialized liners, diabetic footwear, and custom orthotics. Every donation will directly contribute to providing Dean with these essential materials.
